The Pastor's Study

Meets every Wednesday, 9.30 AM, McCoy Room in the Education Wing

Actually I love the Pastor’s Study because I am better prepared for Sunday morning
The best part about the Pastor’s Study for me is the time we spend on the cultures of Biblical times- we go behind the scenes, kind of. Also I really like it when Pastor Mike goes into aspects of Biblical Archeology.

"www.Word reminds me of the image of Boots on the Ground! They meet, discuss, listen to one another, challenge each other. Best thing is that this group is willing to do things- willing to be actively involved not only in the church but in our community!"

" Although we usually focus our time on discussing current events and concerns in the community, we have recently been watching a short video series on different locations in Israel- the Bible lessons, especially aspects of archeology, are wonderful!"

"We start right away, and meet for an hour- I like that."

This Adult Sunday School Class is ongoing!

We meet each Sunday, 8.45 AM, McCoy Room.

A Word from Max Lucado-

"Life makes sense if we accept our place. The God-centered life works. And it rescues us from a life that doesn't. God has no ego problem. He does not reveal His glory for His good. We need to witness it for ours. Indeed, when our deepest desire is not the things of God, or a favor from God, but God himself, we cross a threshold. Less self-focus, more God-focus. Less about me, more about Him."

"But all of us who are Christians.. Reflect like mirrors the glory of the Lord." 2 Corinthians 3:18

"The goal is not our own glory. In fact, trying to make life "all about us" pushes happiness further out of reach. God's plans are mind blowing. In the end, a "God-centric" lifestyle will free us to live life to the fullest."

Come and join this discussion-based class facilitated by Dr. Marvin Vasher!

Monday Night Bible Study, 6.30 PM, Education Wing

Presently studying Disciple 4, "Under the Tree of Life". This is a 16 week in depth study that is searching through "The Writings" of the Old Testament to help class members better understand the mind of Christ. Participation includes not only class attendance but about 20-30 minutes of reading and preparation each day. It's a big commitment with big returns. If you have interest in such a study, please contact Jon Flint at jonflint@earthlink.net
